The stately home Mount Stuart is located on the Isle of Bute, off the west coast of Scotland. It is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding Gothic revival buildings in the British Isles, and houses the Bute Collection, one of the foremost private collections of artwork and artefacts in the UK.

“The knowledge and expertise I acquired during my 12 years in the armed forces and subsequently as a maritime security team leader, enabled me to be appointed as Head of Security at Mount Stuart.”

Having established myself in the role, I wanted to ensure we were implementing best practice at Mount Stuart and I felt therefore that I should participate in a training programme which would give me a greater understanding of the practicalities, as well as the theory of risk management and crime prevention. My employers fully supported me in this objective and funded my participation in the Perpetuity Training Security Management BTEC Level 4 course.

I wish to thank Perpetuity Training for what is one of most interesting course’s I have been on. In addition to acquiring an accredited and recognised qualification, I have also taken on board knowledge that will enable me to maintain the highest levels of security at Mount Stuart. I particularly want to applaud my tutor at Perpetuity Training, Charlie Swanson. His knowledge and ability to engage with students is second to none. ”
