Entry Requirements

A good Honours degree or appropriate professional qualification(s); or HND/Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline with relevant experience; or equivalent international qualifications.

Applications for Recognised Prior Learning can be made and will be individually assessed.

Learners who have completed the Security Institute Advanced Diploma in Security Management IQ Level 7 course will receive 40 credits towards the MSc and will be exempt from the Research Methods and one of the two 20 credit modules.

All applications will be considered on an individual basis. Dependant upon qualifications and experience, applicants may be interviewed to determine their suitability to undertake the course.

English Requirements

International applicants will need to have achieved an overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component. Applicants who have successfully studied at this level in the Medium of English will be deemed to have met the English requirements.

The MSc International Security and Risk Management course in collaboration with the University of South Wales (USW), develops and enhances critical theoretical knowledge, security management skills and understanding in an area which presents significant demand for professionalisation worldwide.

This Masters programme is delivered through online distance learning, which enables learners to combine their studies with work-based learning. Learners will interact with others through a specially designed virtual learning system, which includes virtual forums and discussion groups.

The learning will be supported by course tutors from both Perpetuity and USW.  During the course learners will be enrolled as students of USW and will have full online access to the university library.
