Ken Livingstone
Director of Perpetuity Training


Ken Livingstone
Ken served as an officer in the Royal Military Police before gaining an MSc in Security Management and Information Technology at Leicester University. He later directed the Scarman Centres degree courses in security management, before leaving to direct Loughborough University’s security management courses. He later returned to the Scarman Centre where he was appointed Assistant Director. Ken is Fellow and Board Member of the Security Institute, and sits on the Editorial Board of the Security Journal, and is a visiting lecturer at Leicester University.

 

Dr Karen Gill
Director of Perpetuity Training


 

After gaining an MSc in Security Management and Information Technology at Leicester University in 1993 she set up Perpetuity Press, one of the worlds leading publishers in the field of Security and Risk management. During her time running Perpetuity Press she completed a PhD in criminology from the University of Leicester. In 2002 she set up Perpetuity Training with Ken Livingstone with the purpose of delivering courses for managers in the field of Security and Loss Prevention.


Amy Burrell
Training Consultant


Amy holds a BSc in Applied Psychology (University of Durham) and an MSc in Forensic Behavioural Science (Centre for Investigative Psychology, University of Liverpool), and is currently working towards a PhD in Forensic Psychology (University of Leicester). Amy worked as a Research Fellow for the UCL Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science for four and a half years; the last 11 months of which she was seconded to the Government Office for the West Midlands (GOWM) to provide support to local partnership analysts. Amy then joined Perpetuity Research as a Research Assistant in 2008 before moving across to join the Perpetuity Training team in late 2010.

Katrina Lister
Business Co-ordinator


 

Katrina joined Perpetuity Training after graduating from the University of Leicester with a degree in Psychology with Sociology. Katrina is responsible for the co-ordination of the set-piece and distance learning courses.


Jackie Freer
Assistant Accountant


Jackie is responsible for the administration of all accounts for Perpetuity Training and Conferences.  She liaises with suppliers and customers to ensure that all finances are up to date. Jackie also plays a key role in the co-ordination of the business support team ensuring efficient and effective operations run throughout the organisation.
